The Full Range

EmerrGrow Prime

Bacillus subtilis
BIOSTIMULANT
Broad-spectrum soil & plant health
Mechanism
Phosphate solubilisation, phytohormone modulation, root colonisation, induced systemic resistance (ISR), antifungal lipopeptide (surfactin) production.
Application / Format
Seed treatment/coating, carrier-based powder, liquid formulations, soil application, fertigation.
Target Use
Broad — cereals, vegetables, pulses, cash crops.
The most broadly studied biofertiliser/biocontrol species in this portfolio — valued for phosphate solubilisation, root-growth-promoting phytohormone effects, and induced systemic resistance against plant pathogens. Endospore formation gives it strong formulation stability and shelf life versus non-spore-forming alternatives.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • A 5-season field trial (strain CNPMS B2084) found maize yield increases of 3–24% and grain phosphorus content up 12–20% under co-inoculation, across contrasting Brazilian soil types. — Oliveira-Paiva et al., Front Microbiol, 2024
  • A meta-analysis of 15 pooled studies found Bacillus biofertiliser application significantly increased tomato fruit number and weight versus uninoculated controls. — Ogugua et al., Sci Rep, 2025
Worth knowing: Field-yield findings above are strain-specific (CNPMS B2084), not a guarantee for every B. subtilis strain; a mechanistic review found induced systemic resistance gave over 80% disease reduction in controlled conditions but markedly less durability in field settings — lab efficacy often exceeds field efficacy for this class of product.

EmerrGrow Endure

Bacillus licheniformis
BIOSTIMULANT
Stress tolerance & root establishment
Mechanism
IAA (auxin) production, phosphate solubilisation, siderophore production, biofilm-based root colonisation; some strains show nematode-suppressive activity.
Application / Format
Seed treatment/coating (its spore hardiness makes this the most common route), carrier-based powder, liquid formulations.
Target Use
Cereals, vegetables, tubers, general horticulture.
A heat- and desiccation-tolerant spore-former valued for formulation robustness, with documented drought-tolerance and root-growth benefits at the strain level. The thinnest independent field-trial evidence base of the three Bacillus species here, but genuinely useful mechanistic and physiological data exists.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • Seed-coated maize (strain FMCH001) showed 46% higher water-use efficiency and 68% higher root dry weight during drought recovery versus untreated controls. — Akhtar et al., Front Plant Sci, 2020
  • Strain JF-22 suppressed root-knot nematode in tomato and reshaped rhizosphere microbial communities. — Front Microbiol, 2022
Worth knowing: All cited effects are strain-specific (FMCH001, JF-22); independent field-scale yield trials are considerably fewer for this species than for B. subtilis or B. amyloliquefaciens.

EmerrGrow Vigor

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens
BIOSTIMULANT + BIOCONTROL
Growth acceleration & induced resistance
Mechanism
Antimicrobial lipopeptides (surfactin, iturin, fengycin), polyketide antibiotics, induced systemic resistance, phosphate/potassium solubilisation, siderophore production.
Application / Format
Seed treatment, soil drench, foliar spray, liquid and granular formulations.
Target Use
Vegetables (tomato, pepper, cucumber) most heavily studied, plus cereals and some fruit crops.
One of the best-studied plant-growth-promoting rhizobacteria globally, via the reference strain FZB42. Produces a wide range of antimicrobial lipopeptides and is understood to work primarily by priming the plant's own immune response (ISR) rather than by directly killing pathogens.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • A mechanistic review of reference strain FZB42 established induced systemic resistance, not direct antibiosis, as the dominant biocontrol mode of action. — Chowdhury et al., Front Microbiol, 2015
  • A comparative study of 4 strains within this species group found meaningful strain-to-strain variability in drought protection, nutrient solubilisation and antifungal activity. — Barros-Rodríguez et al., Biology, 2024
Worth knowing: The comparative strain study above is a useful caution: efficacy varies meaningfully even within this single species, and EmerrBio's own strain has not been tested in any of the cited studies.

EmerrGrow Defend

Paenibacillus polymyxa
BIOCONTROL
Targeted antimicrobial defense
Mechanism
IAA and tryptophol production, volatile organic compounds priming seedling growth and defence responses, a broad antimicrobial peptide arsenal (polymyxin, fusaricidin, tridecaptin and others), induced systemic resistance via jasmonic-acid signalling.
Application / Format
Seed pelleting/coating, seed soak, soil drench, liquid formulations.
Target Use
Oilseed (sesame — strongest field data), cereals (barley, wheat), vegetables (cucumber, pepper).
Produces one of the broadest antimicrobial peptide profiles of any biocontrol-relevant species in this portfolio, alongside genuine plant-growth-promoting effects demonstrated in field trials — though almost entirely via one well-studied reference strain.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • Seed-pelleted sesame (strain E681) yielded more than 3x untreated controls, with plant health ratings of 92% vs. 24%. — Jeong et al., Front Microbiol, 2019
  • Cucumber seed-soak treatment gave a 60% increase in shoot fresh weight in greenhouse trials; soil-drench treatment gave 3–38% growth increases in pepper. — Jeong et al., Front Microbiol, 2019
Worth knowing: Genome sequencing of strain E681 found no nitrogenase or siderophore-synthesis genes — nitrogen-fixation and siderophore claims should not be made for this species. Polymyxin is also a clinically important last-resort human antibiotic class, worth a compliance check before any polymyxin-related marketing claim.

EmerrGrow Root

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF)
ROOT SYMBIONT
Root symbiosis & nutrient uptake
Mechanism
Symbiotic root colonisation forming arbuscules for bidirectional nutrient exchange; extraradical hyphal network extends effective root surface area, primarily improving phosphorus uptake, with secondary benefits for zinc, copper, nitrogen and water relations.
Application / Format
Soil/planting-hole application, seed coating, root dip for nursery transplants, granules in potting media, spore suspensions via fertigation — not effective as a foliar spray, since it requires direct root contact.
Target Use
Horticulture (fruit trees, citrus), plantation crops, most vegetables, ornamentals, forestry/nursery stock, several field crops.
A root symbiont rather than a bacterium, valued above all for improving phosphorus uptake — the least mobile major soil nutrient — along with drought-tolerance and soil-structure benefits. The most consistently well-evidenced product in this portfolio at the meta-analysis level.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • A meta-analysis of 106 studies found AMF inoculation under drought stress increased total plant biomass by 58% and phosphorus uptake by 86%, the largest effect measured. — Chandrasekaran, J Fungi, 2022
  • A survey of 68 commercial AMF products from 28 manufacturers found meaningful gaps between labelled propagule counts and field performance. — Basiru et al., Microorganisms, 2021
Worth knowing: Important limitation: AMF cannot colonise plants in several major families, most notably Brassicaceae (mustard, cabbage, canola, cauliflower) and Chenopodiaceae/Amaranthaceae (spinach, beet, quinoa) — these crops derive no benefit from AMF inoculation and this should always be disclosed to a buyer.

EmerrGrow Retain

Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA)
BIOPOLYMER / SOIL CONDITIONER
Water retention & fertiliser-use efficiency
Mechanism
Anionic biopolymer that forms a hydrogel-like film in soil, increasing water-holding capacity and water-stable soil aggregates; buffers against nutrient leaching and improves nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium uptake efficiency.
Application / Format
Water-soluble powder or liquid concentrate, blended into existing fertigation, seed-dressing or foliar/soil-drench programmes — a fertiliser synergist rather than a standalone input.
Target Use
Broad — demonstrated in cotton, corn, wheat, soybean, pepper, lettuce and pakchoi; particular value in arid/sandy and saline-alkaline soils.
A genuinely different class of product in this range — a biopolymer rather than a living organism — produced on the same Bacillus fermentation platform behind EmerrGrow Prime and EmerrGrow Endure, then purified and supplied as a powder or liquid concentrate.
Research & Evidence (2 findings)
  • A two-year cotton field trial in desertified soils of Northwest China found γ-PGA application improved water-stable soil aggregates and nitrogen/phosphorus uptake efficiency, alongside gains in water-fertiliser productivity. — Liang & Shi, Agric Water Manag, 2021
  • A lettuce trial found γ-PGA increased soil ammonium-nitrogen and available potassium and cut water-infiltration loss by up to 87% at the highest molecular weight tested. — Lin et al., Polymers, 2026
Worth knowing: Effects are dose- and molecular-weight-dependent: the lettuce study above found the benefit reversed at excessive application rates, where reduced soil aeration inhibited growth — this is not simply a 'more is better' input.

EmerrGrow Complete

Multi-strain Bacillus & Paenibacillus consortium
CONSORTIA BLEND
Full-spectrum, multi-strain consortia
Mechanism
Layers three complementary modes of action in one formulation — phosphate solubilisation and induced systemic resistance from EmerrGrow Prime, stress-tolerance and root colonisation from EmerrGrow Endure, and targeted antimicrobial-peptide defense from EmerrGrow Defend.
Application / Format
Carrier-based powder, granule or liquid, blended to ratio; seed treatment, soil application or fertigation.
Target Use
Broad — same segments as the three component strains, suited to growers who want one input rather than three.
Built for buyers who want breadth — growth promotion, stress resilience and biological defense — from a single SKU rather than sourcing and blending three actives themselves. EmerrBio formulates the ratio, carrier and format to specification.
Worth Knowing
This three-strain combination has not itself been independently trialled as a blend in the published literature — the evidence cited on each component's own page is strain-specific and was generated for that strain alone, not for this consortium.
FAQ

Agriculture — Frequently Asked Questions

What products are in the EmerrGrow range?

Seven: EmerrGrow Prime (Bacillus subtilis), Endure (Bacillus licheniformis), Vigor (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens), Defend (Paenibacillus polymyxa), Root (arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi), Retain (a poly-γ-glutamic acid biopolymer soil conditioner), and Complete, a multi-strain consortia blend.
