Introducing EmerrBiome

23 Strains, One Fermentation Platform

EmerrBio's human-health portfolio is presented under one name — EmerrBiome — spanning 23 strains across six genus groups, supplied as bulk probiotic powder manufactured to your required CFU/g. Every probiotic's value collapses to one question: does it survive processing, shelf life and the gut. EmerrBiome exists to answer that question at scale, on the same platform that also produces EmerrGrow, EmerrAqua and EmerrThrive.

Six Genus Groups, 23 Strains

Lactobacillus

The most widely studied probiotic genus, long associated with digestive comfort and general gut support. Supplied as non-spore-forming powder — cold-chain and protective-drying dependent.
Lactobacillus acidophilusLactobacillus rhamnosusLactobacillus plantarumLactobacillus reuteriLactobacillus salivariusLactobacillus paracaseiLactobacillus gasseriLactobacillus casei

Lactococcus

Widely used in dairy and fermented-food fermentation, with recognised probiotic-adjacent strains. Non-spore-forming.
Lactococcus lactis

Bifidobacterium

Genus that dominates the healthy human gut microbiome, particularly relevant to gut-barrier and everyday digestive wellness formulations. Non-spore-forming.
Bifidobacterium bifidumBifidobacterium animalisBifidobacterium longum

Bacillus (spore-forming)

Valued in manufacturing for exceptional heat, acid and shelf stability — the practical backbone of tablet, functional-food and ambient-supply-chain formats.
Bacillus subtilisBacillus licheniformisBacillus amyloliquefaciensBacillus clausiiBacillus coagulansBacillus pumilusBacillus polymyxa (Paenibacillus polymyxa)

Saccharomyces (yeast)

Probiotic yeast species, most widely studied for use alongside and after antibiotic therapy; naturally resistant to antibacterial agents.
Saccharomyces boulardiiSaccharomyces cerevisiae

Enterococcus / Pediococcus

Supporting genera used in specialised and combination formulations, typically alongside a primary Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium or Bacillus base.
Enterococcus faeciumPediococcus acidilactici

A Closer Look at the Evidence

Compiled from public scientific and regulatory sources (peer-reviewed literature, NIH, FDA and EFSA records) — not from any third party's proprietary material.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus

Most Extensively Researched
One of the most widely researched probiotic species globally, studied for gut and epithelial adhesion and digestive comfort during antibiotic use. Functional benefits are well documented to be strain-dependent — claims below apply to the specific research strain, not the species as a whole.
Research & Evidence
  • A meta-analysis of 19 RCTs (n=4,073) found reduced acute diarrhoea duration in children by roughly 24 hours on average — evidence specific to the widely studied "LGG" strain, not the species generally. — Li et al., World J Gastroenterol, 2019
  • A meta-analysis of 12 RCTs (n=1,499) found antibiotic-associated diarrhoea incidence reduced from 22.4% to 12.3% — also LGG-strain-specific. — Szajewska & Kołodziej, Aliment Pharmacol Ther, 2015

Lactobacillus plantarum

Gut Comfort & Fermentation
Known for exceptional acid and bile tolerance and metabolic adaptability, and widely used industrially in both food fermentation and silage inoculation. In human research, most studied for digestive comfort — findings below are specific to the well-known strain 299v.
Research & Evidence
  • A landmark RCT (n=214) found IBS abdominal pain frequency fell 52% versus 14% with placebo — specific to strain 299v. — Ducrotté et al., World J Gastroenterol, 2012

Bacillus coagulans

Heat-Stable Bridge Species
Bridges lactic-acid-bacteria functionality with Bacillus-grade spore stability — it produces lactic acid like a Lactobacillus while forming a heat- and acid-resistant endospore like a Bacillus, needing no cold chain. One of the most commercially prevalent spore probiotics globally, long sold in India under the older name "Lactobacillus sporogenes" (peer-reviewed literature confirms this is the same organism).
Research & Evidence
  • A meta-analysis of 7 RCTs (n=477) found significantly reduced IBS symptom severity, abdominal pain and bloating — evidence spans four distinct named commercial strains, not generic B. coagulans. — AbdelQadir et al., Gastroenterol Endosc, 2024

Saccharomyces boulardii

The Antibiotic-Adjunct Yeast
The only major organism in this portfolio that is a yeast rather than a bacterium — naturally unaffected by antibacterial antibiotics, which is why it is traditionally used alongside antibiotic therapy. Confirmed by genomic sequencing to be a lineage of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Research & Evidence
  • A meta-analysis of 21 RCTs found antibiotic-associated diarrhoea risk reduced by roughly half — evidence concentrated in strain CNCM I-745, the most studied S. boulardii strain. — Szajewska & Kołodziej, Aliment Pharmacol Ther, 2015
  • A meta-analysis of 11 RCTs (2,200 patients) found improved H. pylori eradication rates from 71% to 80% when added to standard therapy, with fewer treatment side effects. — Szajewska et al., Aliment Pharmacol Ther, 2015

FAQ

Human Health — Frequently Asked Questions

How many strains does EmerrBiome cover?

23 strains across six genus groups: Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, Bifidobacterium, spore-forming Bacillus, Saccharomyces (yeast), and Enterococcus/Pediococcus.

What format is EmerrBiome supplied in?

Bulk probiotic powder, manufactured to your required CFU/g, for supplement, functional-food and dairy/fermented-beverage formulation.

Is EmerrBiome certified for human/nutraceutical use?

Formal third-party quality and safety certifications for EmerrBiome are an active roadmap item as we scale toward international markets — not yet held, stated plainly rather than implied.

Which strains does EmerrBio spotlight with published evidence?

Four: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Bacillus coagulans and Saccharomyces boulardii — each with cited, strain-specific research and an honest note on what does and doesn't generalise to the species as a whole.
